4 Trillion RMB New Investment in Underground Utility Networks
On March 9, 2024, during the press conference on people's livelihood at the Second Session of the 14th National People's Congress, Ni Hong, Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, stated that in 2024, 50,000 old residential communities will be renovated, a number of complete communities will be constructed, and over 100,000 kilometers of underground pipelines will be upgraded. Additionally, this year will see the initiation of flood-prone areas management in 100 cities, targeting over 1,000 vulnerable locations.
