H Series · Soil Sensor
The Hitelecom H Series soil sensor is a multi-parameter wireless probe for agriculture and land monitoring. One device measures soil moisture, temperature, conductivity (EC), pH and NPK nutrients, reports over 4G or NB-IoT, and is designed for more than 10 years of battery life at a one-hour reporting interval under specified test conditions, with an IP68 enclosure designed for long-term burial.

Applications
This product supports the following monitoring applications:
-
Farmland irrigation scheduling
Soil moisture trends tell growers exactly when and how much to irrigate, cutting water waste.
-
Greenhouse fertigation
EC and NPK readings guide fertilizer dosing so nutrients stay in the root zone, not in runoff.
-
Urban parks and landscaping
Monitors lawn and tree-pit soil moisture for municipal greening maintenance crews.
-
Soil pollution and remediation tracking
Continuous pH and EC logging flags contamination plumes and verifies remediation progress.
-
Forest and grassland health
Long-term buried probes track soil drought stress ahead of visible canopy decline.
-
Research and field trials
Multi-parameter time series support agronomy research and variety trials.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Which soil parameters does the H Series measure?
- Soil moisture (0–100%, ±3%), temperature, conductivity (0–1,000 µS/cm, ±3%), pH (0–14, 0.01 pH resolution) and NPK nutrients (0–1,999 mg/kg, ±2% F.S.) — all in a single probe.
- Can the probe stay buried outdoors year-round?
- Yes. The IP68 enclosure is designed for long-term burial, and the battery is designed for more than 10 years of life at a one-hour reporting interval under specified test conditions, which reduces routine maintenance between seasons.
- How is soil data transmitted?
- Over 4G or NB-IoT with MQTT uplink to Hitelecom Cloud or a private platform; thresholds on any parameter trigger alerts.
- Is it suitable for alkaline or saline soils?
- The EC channel covers 0–1,000 µS/cm, which suits most farmland; for highly saline soils or special media, contact Hitelecom for a customized range.
