Compact equipment integration
A compact enclosure supports installation alongside instruments and equipment electronics. Plan mounting, cable routing, antenna clearance and service access around the actual installation.

The Hitelecom HR-10 series connects field instruments and equipment data to remote monitoring through a compact wireless data transmission unit (DTU). RS485, TTL and 4–20 mA interface options support project-specific serial and analogue connections. Edge acquisition and processing, 4G cellular communication, supported remote control and firmware upgrades form a practical path from the instrument to the operation. View uploaded monitoring data online in Hitelecom Cloud and receive alerts when configured thresholds are exceeded.
KEY FEATURES

A compact enclosure supports installation alongside instruments and equipment electronics. Plan mounting, cable routing, antenna clearance and service access around the actual installation.
Bring compatible serial instruments and embedded equipment into the data path. Agree the electrical connection, device protocol and readable data points for the supplied interface arrangement.
Connect compatible external current-output transmitters. Define the instrument range, engineering units and current-to-value mapping so online readings retain their physical meaning.
Acquire and process field data close to the connected equipment. Specify the required data interpretation and update behaviour for the delivered application.
Use a 4G cellular connection for remote data communication. Select the module, frequency bands, antenna arrangement and SIM service for the installation country and network.
View uploaded monitoring data online in Hitelecom Cloud and receive alerts when configured thresholds are exceeded. Configure asset names, engineering units, monitoring limits and the notification workflow.
Send permitted commands through the connected equipment’s documented interface and maintain device firmware remotely. Define command permissions, local priorities and verification before commissioning.
Hardware and software watchdog mechanisms support device recovery from defined faults. Verify reset and reconnection behaviour for the delivered configuration as part of commissioning.
FIELD INTERFACES
Match the required RS485, TTL or 4–20 mA connections to the supplied interface arrangement. Confirm electrical compatibility, data interpretation and instrument requirements for the installation.
Connect compatible instruments through an RS485 physical interface. Define the device protocol, addressing, data map and serial settings for the selected integration. An RS485 connection alone does not establish protocol compatibility.
Provide a serial connection to compatible embedded modules or equipment electronics. Confirm logic levels, pin assignment, grounding and the supported data format before connection.
Acquire compatible current-loop transmitter signals using the supplied analogue interface. Match the channel arrangement, loop wiring, transmitter power and measurement scaling to the selected version.
MONITORING & CONTROL
Build a traceable path from the instrument output to the online measurement and any permitted remote command. Verify the measurement and physical equipment response separately.
Identify the instrument, electrical interface and data format. For serial points, document the readable data map; for current-loop points, define the source range, units and scaling.
Match the cellular variant, antenna and SIM service to the site. Define acquisition and reporting requirements separately, then check the installed connection and update behaviour.
View uploaded measurements in Hitelecom Cloud. Check asset identity, engineering units and configured threshold alerts against the source instrument during commissioning.
Use only commands documented for the connected equipment and agreed for the installation. Verify the physical result or instrument readback separately from command transmission, and confirm operation after a firmware upgrade.
APPLICATIONS
Eight application areas, each with five instrument-connection tasks, show where a compact cellular DTU can bring field data online. These 40 tasks are selection examples, not a channel count or a promise that all tasks run in one device. Select the fitted interface arrangement, compatible external instruments and required data exchanges for each installation. Remote actions apply only where the connected equipment exposes a documented, supported command interface.
8 application areas / 40 project tasks
Representative environments. External instruments, interface arrangements and permitted commands are selected for each installation.

Bring selected water measurements and equipment-controller data online from pumping stations, storage assets and treatment facilities. Match the supplied HR-10 interface to each external instrument, then define source identifiers, units and the monitoring or permitted command workflow.

PLATFORM & INTEGRATION
View uploaded monitoring data online and receive alerts when configured thresholds are exceeded. Give each instrument a clear asset identity, engineering units and defined update behaviour. For a customer-platform project, agree the supported communication method and data mapping for the delivered device configuration.
Online measurements: review uploaded serial-instrument values and current-loop measurements in the selected monitoring view, with source ranges, units and asset names defined for each point.
Threshold alerts: set the monitoring limits and notification workflow. Verify the trigger, recipient and delivery during commissioning; data availability depends on the reporting profile and network connection.
Remote operations: define the equipment commands, authorization and available readback before enabling remote use. Keep the equipment’s local controls and independent protection functions in place.
ANSWERS FOR YOUR PROJECT
Answers for serial and current-loop interfaces, cellular deployment, online monitoring and supported remote operations.
It is a compact wireless data transmission unit (DTU) for acquiring and transmitting compatible instrument and equipment data. RS485, TTL and 4–20 mA interface options, edge processing, cellular communication, cloud monitoring, supported remote control and firmware upgrades connect the field instrument to the operating workflow.
Confirm the physical ports, quantities and supported combinations for the ordered version against your instrument list. RS485, TTL and 4–20 mA identify interface options; they do not establish the fitted combination. The 40 application tasks are selection examples, not 40 channels.
No. RS485 defines a physical interface. Device protocol, addressing, serial settings, data representation and supported read or write operations must also match. Submit the instrument communication manual and data map for an integration review; do not assume a protocol solely from the RS485 label.
Confirm the electrical logic levels, transmit/receive pin assignment, grounding, cable arrangement and serial data format for both devices. A TTL label alone does not establish a voltage level, isolation, connector or supply output.
Use the current-loop interface specified for the supplied version and a compatible external transmitter. Confirm loop wiring, transmitter supply, supported input limits and scaling. Define the transmitter range and engineering units, then verify online values against the source instrument and reference points during commissioning.
Yes. Hitelecom Cloud supports online viewing of uploaded monitoring data and alerts when configured thresholds are exceeded. Configure asset names, units, monitoring limits and the notification workflow. Data availability and notification timing depend on the reporting profile and network connection.
Remote control applies to commands supported by the connected equipment and the delivered device configuration. Agree the command path, authorization, local priority and available readback before enabling it. A DTU does not by itself establish a relay output or a direct load connection, and command transmission does not prove the equipment has moved or changed state.
Select the cellular variant for the installation country and network. The 4G, 5-mode / 13-band reference configuration requires confirmation of the exact module, frequency bands, operator service and destination requirements for the ordered version. This description does not guarantee every network, worldwide roaming or future network availability.
Remote firmware upgrades are supported. Use the approved firmware for the delivered hardware, maintain power and the required connection, and follow the site maintenance procedure. Verify instrument communication, scaling, uploads and permitted operations after the upgrade.
They support recovery from defined abnormal operating states. Confirm the reset, reconnection and restart behaviour for the selected configuration during commissioning. Watchdogs do not replace equipment protection or establish uninterrupted communication.
Customer-platform integration can be reviewed against the communication methods supported by the supplied device and software. Agree the transport, data format, instrument mapping and permitted commands for the project. Do not infer a particular cloud protocol or API from the cellular or serial interface alone.
Provide the installation country, instrument models, interface manuals, data maps and point quantities. Include current-loop ranges, required remote commands, power source, site conditions, acquisition/reporting needs and target platform. These details establish the fitted interface arrangement, integration scope and commissioning checks.
